Booking & Cancellation Policy

Booking & Deposit: Your reservations are confirmed only with full payment, in advance at booking time, depending on the season and rate. Reservation payment is non refundable.
: The guest will be charged the total price if they cancel anytime.  A change of date and room are subject to availability  and will be charged a $35 administration fee. We are not responsible for cancellations or delays including due to weather or transportation problems with ferry or other. Guests are responsible for all nights booked. No shows for any reason will be charged the full amount.

Deposit:  Full payment is required to secure your booking. Room down payment is non refundable.

Rates: Our rates are subject to change without notice. Additional guests: $40 per night.  Rooms have a limited number of inhabitants, please check with us..

Payment:  direct with us; or by our Panama bank; contact us for for other options. Balance payable at check-in with cash   There are No Banks or ATM´s on the island, advised to bring some cash.

There are no banks or ATM’s on Taboga. The nearest ATM is on Amador Causeway, near the Wine Bar Restaurant or Balboa neighborhood.

Check In & Check Out: Check in is between 2 and 5 pm. Late check in by special arrangement. Check out time is 11 am. If you do not check out, we will charge an additional night. Late check out on request, at an additional charge, space permitting. If possible we will allow an early check in.

Registration & Occupancy: Register with  passport or   ID. Only registered occupants permitted in the rooms.
Tips: Please note that tips are not included in your room charges. Our local Taboga Island team work very hard to give you friendly service to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Please feel free to tip them what you feel appropriate.

Breakfast: Is not included

Smoking: Taboga Palace Spa Hotel  is a smoke free environment; it is now illegal to smoke in public places in Panama;   Smoking in rooms or Balconies  is prohibited, anyone smoking in rooms will be asked to leave , and  will be charged the full amount of  days stay booked, and will be charged an additional $300.00 cleaning fee

Damage and Inventory Policy: Our registered guests are responsible for any damage or breakage resulting from the use of our facilities however caused and will be liable to the owners of Taboga Palace Spa Hotel for cost of repairs. The rooms come furnished and items found missing from the inventory (including keys) will be charged at replacement value. This includes the registered guest and members of their party. We will require $100 cash on arrival this will be returned on check out after inspection of rooms has taken place. We are entitled to refuse to hand over to you, or repossess, our property, if we reasonably believe that any damage is likely to be caused, has been caused or is being caused by any members of your group. These circumstances will be treated as a cancellation by you, and no refund will be given, and we shall have no liability to you. You must allow us, the Owners, or our representatives  access to the property at any reasonable time.

We have made every effort to ensure that your vacation is enjoyable and trouble free. If you do have a complaint or problem, it is essential that you inform us immediately, so that we may be given the opportunity to rectify and correct the situation as soon as possible. Repairs may be necessary during daylight hours. Any complaints or problems encountered during your stay, and not reported at the time, will not be considered at a later date.

Building Maintenance: there may be occasion when we need to do building maintenance or repair on water lines etc. We will notify you in advance and repair, and complete as quickly as possible and if possible during daylight hours. If you have a problem in your room, please notify us at once and we will call the person to maintain or repair to come as soon as possible.

Electric and water: We are not responsible if the island power goes off, and normally this is very rare, if there is any water supply problem we have an additional source which we can use to supplement the town water. Please be careful with our water supply as it is limited .  Check all running toilets and dripping taps are off.

Liability Waiver: We shall have no liability for any personal injury, health related problems, or death to persons on our property – visitors or guests -, or illness directly or indirectly related to the property, or while using equipment rented or borrowed from us. “We advise before you depart your home country you take out travel and health insurance which is valid in Panama.”  We are not responsible for loss, damage or injury to persons or property however caused. We cannot be held responsible for loss, damage, illness, or injury caused by third parties who we recommend for their services. You must take all necessary steps to safeguard your personal property, please lock your doors when leaving or sleeping. No liability is accepted by us in respect of damage to, or loss of such personal property.

Medical & Health: Taboga Palace Spa Hotel or its owners or employees assumes no liability for any such medical service or any costs related to any evacuation or provision of medical care if needed. If you or any member of your party has any medical problem or disability that may affect your stay, please tell us before you confirm your booking so that we can advise as to the suitability of the chosen arrangements. In any event, you must give us full details in writing at the time of booking.

Behavior: We expect all clients to have consideration for other people. If, in our reasonable opinion or in the reasonable opinion of any other person in authority, you or any member of your party behaves in such a way as to cause or be likely to cause danger, upset or distress to any third party or damage to the property, impede the rights, welfare, safety or enjoyment of others or in any way damage the reputation and/or goodwill of the Owner we are entitled, without prior notice, to terminate the occupation of the person(s) concerned. In this situation, the person(s) concerned will be required to leave the accommodation. We will have no further responsibility toward such person(s), and have no responsibility pertaining to their behavior on the premises or on Taboga Island. No refunds will be made and we will not pay any expenses or costs incurred as a result of the termination.

Please Note: Water: We recommend not to drink tap water but drink bottled water. We do have filtered tap water available from the bar in the social area.

Maid service
: Your rooms will be cleaned daily.  Please advise our staff when you want the room cleaned during your stay.

Laundry service: Please ask for rates, we are not responsible for any damage due to your garments, or missing garments.

Books, Games:
We have a small English book library, as well as board games which you are welcome to use, please replace everything before you leave.

A/C’s & fans:
We are an environmentally friendly destination and we will need you to turn off the a/c’s during daytime hours and fans while you are out of the rooms, and so they get a chance to cool down. Fans and AC burn out on Taboga dues to variances in electricity, they should not be run 24 hours a day.
